Fund Raising Letter
Dear Donor,
In today’s difficult economic climate, the dream of attending college is becoming increasingly distant for many high school seniors. The cost of a college education is simply too burdensome for many families to bear without help.
Evergreen Scholarship/Bootstraps, Inc. has been providing assistance in the form of scholarships and no-interest loans for over 60 years. Generous contributors have enabled us to help hundreds of mountain area students reach their educational goals and achieve the dream of a college degree. To continue this important tradition we need your continuing support.
There are several ways to support ESBI, a 501(c)(3) organization:
- Tax-deductible cash contributions in any amount are always welcome. Simply fill out the enclosed response card and return it with your check in the return envelope.
- Create-A-Scholarship or Loan. With a minimum contribution of $1,000.00 you can create a named scholarship or loan in honor of an individual, organization or as a lasting memorial. These gifts will be matched at a rate of 50% (up to a match of $1,000.00) from our general fund. Your $1,000.00 donation therefore becomes a $1,500.00 Scholarship, etc.
- Buy Raffle Tickets. On May 27th ESBI will hold a raffle for a 2008 MINI Cooper S Convertible (first prize) and a fabulous trip for 2 with GrandLuxe Rail Journeys (second prize). Again, simply fill out the response card and enclose a check for the desired number of tickets at $100 each. (Purchasing a raffle ticket is considered gambling and is not tax deductible. Credit cards may not be used to purchase raffle tickets.)
Thanks to your generosity, ESBI awarded over $171,000 to 60 Conifer/Evergreen area students in 2007. Financial need is our primary consideration in awarding both scholarships and loans, and the number of applications we receive increases every year. Please help us meet this growing demand with a generous gift. Invest in the future by investing in a student.
